Regional Board of School Trustees

The Will County Regional Board of School Trustees consists of seven elected officials plus the Regional Superintendent of Schools who serves as ex-officio secretary.

The Regional Board of School Trustees meets quarterly and will hold special meetings as needed.

The Regional Superintendent provides guidance on procedures and legal requirements when people and school districts want to transfer property to a neighboring school district.

The Regional Board of School Trustees conducts hearings on detachment/annexation and school district reorganization petitions.

Depending on the type of petition, the Regional Board of School Trustees and/or the Regional Superintendent of Schools will either approve or deny the petition.

The Regional Board of Education meets at the Regional Office of Education.
In case of larger meetings, the location will be moved to the Will County Building.
